🎨 I look forward to sharing with you this mixed -m 🎨 I look forward to sharing with you this mixed -media experience on Tuesday, 4:00-8:00pm @sji.museum.of.art 🖌️ It’s the last class in this Spring Edition of the Kindling Creativity Series. Which I have been beyond delighted to offer!!!! 😍 🫟 We’ll collage, paint, scribble, collage more, doodle and paint some more to create the cover for this handmade journal. We’ll gather papers of different colors and textures, some gathered from previous painting experiments, then bind it all together with 4 bronze-ish rings so it’s easy to add more papers and mementos overtime! 🎨 I always love teaching this Artist Journal class as the last one in the series to leave participants with a journal that it’s an expression of them and an inspiration to continue creating…doodling, sketching, painting, testing paints, journaling and as a colorful place to jot down ideas. 🖌️ I literally can’t wait to see what everyone will create as I am always so inspired by all the different styles and color pallets that emerge during the 4 hours of creative time. 🎨 I love how an art class can gather together peop 🎨 I love how an art class can gather together people of different ages and stages of life, with different interests and careers and how wonderful it is to all mingle together in the spirit of sharing creative times! 🎨 It was such a special experience to share the “Reflection Portrait” with people last Tuesday…everyone was really involved in the process, connecting with themselves while painting and then sharing with the group what the focus of their work was. 🎨 I see this particular project as being a celebration of self and also a way to take note of what’s happening currently in our lives and how it shapes our inner landscape. 🎨 I bring supplies, instructions and inspiration…but more times than not it’s the group dynamic that creates an environment that’s inspiring, as everyone brings to class an idea, experience, perspective or way of using a tool or media that organically becomes inspiration for all around. 🎨 Thanks to all who came to share this project with me and with their creative community! 🧡 : : : #adultartclasses #adultartclass #mixedmediaportraitclass #mixedmediaclass #portraitclas
