✨ At the intersection of BEAUTY + PURPOSE + JOY + MEANING for me is sharing creative time with others and delighting in witnessing creativity at play in different shapes and styles.

💛 These are a few pics from last weeks’ class, focused on Personal Core Values captured in whimsical little books created in watercolor.

✨ I enjoy paints 🎨, paper and color be more consistently part of my life and scatter creative possibilities throughout my lil studio space.

💛 And I enjoy meeting new people and old friends alike, and connecting with my community in a way I had not done in a long while. This is one of the blessings in my life right now.🙏

This week we will be focusing on Core Values and delight in creating a little booklet using watercolors and paint pens.

These little booklets are sweet, fun and easy to make, and yes also very satisfying! 😉

🎨 Last week we gathered @sji.museum.of.art with a focus on bright colors and Chakras and with hands full of brushes loaded with paint everyone created inspiring and personal Chakras Wall Hanging.

💓I felt truly fortunate to be surrounded by so many amazing people and by so much creativity! And in the following days my heart was filled with gratitude for this wonderful experience!

Chakras are a topic near and dear to me and I have enjoyed becoming even more familiar with them while preparing for this class. It has been oh-so-sweet gathering with people from long ago and new friends alike…and even a couple guests from the Seattle area. Thanks @sji.museum.of.art I am so grateful and delighted for this collaboration! 💫

🎨Two weeks ago I gathered @sji.museum.of.art with a delightful group of people and we spent 4 hours painting, sharing and inspiring one another. In this class we doodled with watercolor paints, pencils and markers on mixed media paper…then used handmade papers to decorate a glass jar for part two of the project.

💛 The focus for this class was JOY, which not only feels good but also helps in building resilience. A warm thanks to all who participated! 😊

🧡 Sharing creative time with others can be relaxing, inspiring and uplifting, and it’s one of my favorite experiences in life.

👩🏻‍🎨And now my art room is all about Chakras as I get ready to set up for the next class at @sji.museum.of.art which is just two days away!

🎨 And I look forward to gathering again in creative time this Thursday, with a sweet group of people, opening up to Joy while creating a delightful set of handmade cards to inspire an ongoing connection to Joy. 🧡💛

The Joy Jar is class 2 of 7 in the Kindling Creativity Series, a series of adult classes meeting every other Thursday 4pm - 8pm @sji.museum.of.art this series of ADULT ART CLASSES is FREE! You may register for one class or for all of them! Class size is limited to 10 people. No previous experience painting or drawing is needed.

🩵 In the last little while I have been quiet, a

🩵 In the last little while I have been quiet, as I usually am in the colder months…going inward, doing my own shedding of the leaves, my own slowing down, noticing, writing and painting.

🧘🏻‍♀️In many ways my winters have become rest and recovery time from the busy summer months, when creating with metals, connecting and socializing during markets and events is prevalent.

🕯️In the winter, my home becomes my little cave, lit mostly by fairy lights and candles, a good space to be still, incubate ideas, nurture dreams into fruition and bring longer projects into completion.

✨As the days become longer and brighter, and the temperature warmer, I am feeling my time of quiet becoming more alive with the desire to connect and share what I have been up to. I have been drawing Mandalas, something I used to do on a daily basis in the winter months, and I have been journaling, re-aligning with my values, and making cards of affirmations to stay inspired.

🎨 And one of the larger projects I have been working on, is creating a series of classes, offering hands-on activities, a creative exploration through paint, paper and more.

👩🏻‍🎨 I am beyond delighted to be returning to sharing my creative work through classes, and I am looking forward to sharing with you my creative journey and enjoying creative community together at the @sji.museum.of.art 🎨The first class starts February 27th.

✨ I am filled with GRATITUDE for another year spent creating and expanding my work and creative practice.

✨Thanks to all who have been supporting my work with inspiration, nurturance, knowledge, advice, practical tips and wearing and gifting my jewelry creations. It’s always a delightful moment when I serendipitously encounter someone wearing one of my pieces. 🧡

I usually go for round shapes, ovals, spirals and

I usually go for round shapes, ovals, spirals and drops…but I have been experimenting with new, more angular shapes like rectangles, triangles and now some “diamonds” and hexagons, which are not ever my to-go-shapes but it’s fun to try something new while I hammer away on the copper. I’m also experimenting with different thickness of copper…we’ll see what my new, creative (and personal) evolution will be!
